Q: Where is Juniper Green Village Hall?

Q: Who owns the Hall?
A: Juniper Green Village Hall is a community centre owned by the City of Edinburgh Council and run, as a registered charity, by a volunteer Management Committee.
Q: Is the Hall accessible by wheelchair?
A: Yes. There is a wide ramp to the back door and there is an accessible toilet.
Q: Is there parking for drop off nearby or disabled parking?
A: Vehicles can drive up to front door to drop off and pick up.
Q: Can I smoke in the Hall?
A: The Hall is a non-smoking venue, which includes all smoking materials, vapes and electronic cigarettes.
Hall amenities
Q: Does the hall have a kitchen?
A: Yes we have a fully kitted out kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge.
Q: What are the dimensions of the hall?
A: Floor measures. 40’11” x 39’3” (12.47m x 11.96m), Height is 13’3” (4.03m) at the highest point.
Q: Can the hall accommodate bouncy castles?
A: Yes, the back of the hall is 13’3” (4.03m) at the highest point so can accommodate certain bouncy castles, please check with your supplier.
Q: Does the hall have tables and chairs?
A: Yes we have round and rectangular tables and more that 100 chairs. Please note that you need to provide your own tablecloths.
Q: Can we use the gardens?
A: The garden to the front of the hall is a community garden, which you are welcome to use but is not suitable for children to play in. The rear garden is fully enclosed and can be used for children to play in, but please be aware that any toys in the garden belong to the playgroup and must be repaired or replaced if damaged.
Bookings and events
Q: Can we book the hall past midnight?
A: No, the hall is in a residential area and all events must be finished in time for the hall to be cleaned up and locked up by midnight.
Q: How do we access the Hall for our event?
A: 48 hours prior to your event you will receive a message from our booking service with all of the details of how to access the hall for your event. If you have not received this, please check your junk mail before contacting us.
Q: What is the maximum number of people allowed at an event?
A: The capacity of the Village Hall is 100 people maximum.
Q: What payment methods are accepted?
A: Payments must be made through our online booking system.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?

Q: Can I take photographs or videos at events in the Hall?
A: Only with permission of those at the event appearing in the photographs.
Q: Can we bring alcohol to the Hall?
A: Yes, however we do not have a premises license so unless you have a personal license, alcohol can not be sold at an event in the hall.
Q: Can we have live music at our event?
A: Absolutely, although we would ask that you are considerate of our neighbours and keep volume to a sensible level, especially if the doors are open.
